JOB LOCATION: Annapolis, Maryland
START DATE: within 30 days
PAY: $10,000 -$12,500 per month(1) + Expenses(2) + Bonus(3)

Employment Type: Full Time Contractor (1099)
Rotation: 1 month-on / 1 month-off
Schedule: 12 hours per day during each 1-month rotation


(1) Starting salary varies depending upon agent’s experience and is based upon a 1-year term with a 1-month-on / 1-month-off rotation. Pay is only for worked months on rotation; off-months are unpaid.
(2) Employer will provide a vehicle and reimburse expenses monthly
(3) Bonuses to be discussed with the employer


Client is seeking both male and female Residential Protection Agents for Full-Time Contract Employment (1099) to provide static security to residence and clients’ family.  Agents will also work in conjunction with clients’ EP detail.  Candidates must pass an extensive background check.  This is an excellent opportunity for those with light EP experience to break into a full-time EP job with formal training.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Perform duties primarily from static vehicle position with random daily or nightly foot patrols of the residence exterior
– Ensure the overall safety and security of designated principals and their property
– Maintain clear and concise communication with the EP detail leader or designated point of contact
– Maintain existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
– Demonstrate responsibility for all equipment used in support of the protective operations program (i.e. vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, etc.)
– Control access to property and maintain entry logs for guests and service personnel
– Keep an active log of activity around the residence

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must fall under LEOSA (H.R. 218) -OR- possess an active Security Guard License issued by the state of Maryland
Reside in or near the Annapolis, MD area
– Possess some type of civilian residential security experience (in some cases, certain types of Embassy Guard or residential close protection experience from the military will be accepted)
– Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts during a 1-month-on / 1-month-off rotation
– Possess or be able to obtain a US Passport
– Must be able to pass a background check (no misdemeanors, felonies or other criminal charges)
– Possess a good understanding of the latest technology in security camera systems, use of smartphones, communication and collaboration apps
– Have excellent customer service skills
– Physically fit and maintain a clean and sharp appearance
– Must be smoke and drug free
– Be able to pass a drug screening and submit to periodic screenings throughout the duration of employment
– Must possess the ability to multitask
– Must be a proactive problem solver with demonstrated capability to work independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

– Possess prior executive protection experience
– Prior experience providing protective security in a corporate/private and/or family environment
– Prior military in a combat arms or SOF MOS a plus
– Prior law enforcement experience in the Washington DC or Annapolis, MD area
– Candidates that possess professional/formal training in defensive tactics, counter surveillance / surveillance detection and possess covert protection experience
– Prior attendance of a recognized EP school (i.e. ESI, EPI, Oatman, PFC, ITG4, TFTT)
– Candidates that possess active First Responder or EMT certifications
– Candidate must have an understanding of the use of social media collection tools in support of protective intelligence
