PAY: $180,000 (USD) / year + Full Benefits Package(1)
Employment Type: F/T Employee (W-2)
Schedule: 12 hours/day, 2 days off per week
Travel: ~40% (domestic and international)

A U.S. defense-sector corporation is direct-hiring an experienced Executive Protection Detail Leader to stand up and lead an in-house, armed protective detail for a designated senior executive in Tampa, FL.
Typical daily movements run between company offices, engineering and industrial work sites, waterfront facilities, and executive air travel, with recurring family coverage required at the residence and in transit.
The employer has expressed a strong preference for former SOF candidates. Competitive candidates will additionally have extensive experience providing covert protection for corporate or ultra-high net worth principals.
This is a long-term, direct hire position.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Lead daily protective coverage of the principal and family across residence, office, work sites, and travel
– Conduct, plan, and own advance work for venues, routes, air movements, and lodging
– Build and maintain the detail’s standing plans: movement protocols, PACE communications plans, medical and CASEVAC plans, and emergency action plans
– Vet, select, and onboard the remaining detail personnel, and set the standard they are held to
– Drive protective movements, including armored SUV operation and FBO transitions
– Maintain protective intelligence via OSINT, travel and venue threat assessments
– Coordinate with corporate security, facility staff, local law enforcement, and licensed partners overseas
– Render emergency medical care if required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (do not apply without meeting all minimum qualification requirements):
– MUST 4+ years in U.S. military SOF: Army SF (18-series), 75th Ranger Regiment, 160th SOAR, Naval Special Warfare, MARSOC or Force Recon, or an AFSOC pipeline such as PJ, CCT, TACP, or SR
– MUST have prior combat experience or high-threat PSD deployment
– Have at least 3+ years of full-time private executive protection experience after military service
– Have an in-scope Top Secret clearance or be able to pass a Tier 5 background investigation for TS/SCI eligibility
– Proficient in TAK platform (ATAK or iTAK)
– Proficient in radio communications across commercial and public-safety platforms
– Proficient in OSINT research and analysis
– Current Florida Class G firearms license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
– Able to brief senior executives, flag officers, and foreign government officials
– Possess a current U.S. Passport
– Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
– Must be able to pass a criminal background check
– Reside within 1 hour drive time of Tampa, FL or be willing to relocate to Tampa at own expense
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to meeting all required qualifications, meeting any of the below will increase your overall competitiveness in the selection process):
– Separated from SOF within the last 5 years
– Prior liaison with foreign corporate or government security counterparts, particularly in Japan
– Protective operations experience at industrial or maritime/port work sites
– Able to launch, recover, and operate trailered watercraft
