JOB LOCATION: Liberia
START DATE: AUG 2026
PAY: $800-900 / day (USD) + Expenses
Employment Type: P/T, F/T Contract (1099)
A U.S. private security firm is selecting protective agents for a PSD Team that will support a U.S. corporate executive with active energy-sector interests in Liberia. The principal travels in-country on intermittent trips that are typically ~2 weeks in duration.
This contract begins in August 2026 as a 2-week assignment with several scheduled intermittent rotations in 3Q and 4Q 2026. This assignment will quickly evolve into full-time, long-term rotations as the duties shift to infrastructure site security.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Protective coverage of the principal during all in-country movements, meetings, and site visits
– Advance assessments of venues, routes, and facilities ahead of the principal’s arrival
– Maintain secure comms (including multi-platform encrypted communications)
– Coordination with the security firm’s operations staff and vetted local contacts
– Lead and manage local national security forces that will be supporting this assignment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (do not apply without meeting these minimum qualification requirements):
– Recent (within past 5 years) operational security experience in Liberia and/or West Africa
– Able to operate with little outside support in areas with limited infrastructure
– Prior security experience supporting energy sector executives / principals
– Available to travel on short notice and commit to full two-week rotations
– Valid Passport with at least 6 months validity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– Former U.S. SOF with prior experience in West Africa (former US Army 3rd SFG strongly preferred)
– Prior operational security experience for energy infrastructure sites
– Any level of proficiency in Kpelle, Basso, or Grebo languages
