Aimpoint PRO Patrol Rifle Optic has many features to maximize this sight's performance for LEO and the military professional alike. A hard-anodized 30mm tube has been incorporated with a high efficiency circuit that makes the sight allowable to be turned on and left on for as long as 3 years with the same battery. The Aimpoint PRO front glass uses a band-pass coating, which allows the sight to be used with all generations of night vision devices. The modular mount includes a removable spacer that mounts the sight at the optimal height for use with the standard iron sights on the AR15, M16, and M4 Carbine style weapons. This spacer can be taken away to enable the use of the sight on tactical shotguns or sub-machine guns. The mount for the PRO also incorporates a torque eliminating twist knob that ensures the best level of pressure on the rail while completely eliminating the possibility of over-tightening. Both the PRO's front and rear lenses are recessed within the sight body to provide protection against impact damage, scratches and fingerprints.
