JOB LOCATION: Atherton, CA
START DATE: IMMEDIATE FILL
F/T PAY: $135,000 – $165,000 + per year (1)
P/T PAY: $56,000 – $70,000 + per year (1)
Employment Type: Full-Time Contractor
F/T Rotation: Will work a rotating schedule of 60 days on, 14 days off
P/T Rotation: Will work a rotating schedule of 28 days on, 60 days off
Schedule: 12 hours per day during on duty rotation
(1) Pay rate depends on experience and will be determined prior to the Candidate accepting the position; salary is annualized but paid on a daily rate of $450 – $550 per day for anticipated shifts on rotation. Holiday pay is 1.5 times the day rate and includes New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Employer is a US private security firm seeking Residential Security Agents and Executive Protection Agents for a Full-Time rotational contract supporting an UHNWI in Atherton, California. Agents will be filling positions within an existing protection detail. Occasional domestic and international travel will be required as well. Full-time AND part-time rotations are available in support of this long-term client (see above for rotation details). The current protection detail consists of highly experienced former SOF executive protection agents and the employer is seeking similarly skilled/experienced agents to augment the existing team. Former 1st SFG candidates or other former SOF candidates with experience operating in East Asia who also meet the minimum requirements below will be given top priority in the selection process.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Perform mobile and static low profile protection and counter surveillance
– Conduct advance work and report on gathered intelligence
– Conduct vehicle checks to include service, wash, and fuel
– Conduct random residential and property perimeter checks ensuring all doors, windows, and gates are locked and secured
– Liaise with local authorities when applicable emergency situations arise
– Practice OPSEC and COMSEC with sensitive and confidential material
– Flex and adapt as needed based on client needs
– Operate as part of an executive protection detail / team
– Travel in support of protective operations advances, both domestically and internationally
– Agent will live at client residence during rotation
– Work weekends, late hours and holidays
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
– Must have 5+ years combined experience from either military and/or law enforcement as well as experience in protective operations
– Have a strong working knowledge in protective operations
– Have strong working knowledge of technology-based protective security applications
– Physically fit (candidate must pass a physical fitness test) and maintain a clean and sharp appearance
– Must be able to brief, persuade, and instruct others on security requirements and policies
– Have experience writing AARs
– Proactive and possess a high-degree of professionalism, responsibility and maturity
– Pass a background check (no misdemeanors, felonies or other criminal charges)
– Pass pre-employment drug screening and periodic, random drug screenings throughout employment
– Possess a current US Passport
– Must have a valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– Possess a current BSIS permit for exposed firearm issued by the state of California is highly desired
– Candidates with prior law enforcement backgrounds who possess a HR218 are highly desired
– Candidates with prior backgrounds in a SOF or combat arms MOS are highly desired; Prior 1st SFG candidates who also meet the minimum requirements will be viewed with higher priority
– Have proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and/or Japanese
– Experience supporting clients with young children is highly desired
– Prior backgrounds as a 18D, Navy Corpsman, Paramedic, etc.
– Prior attendance of a recognized Executive Protection Course (i.e. ESI, EPI, Oatman, PFC, ITG4, TFTT)
– Candidates who live within 60 miles of Atherton, CA
– CPR/AED Certified
