JOB LOCATION: Central African Republic (CAR)
START DATE: Immediate
PAY: $725 / Day(1) + Medical
CONTRACT TERM: 1 year
ROTATION: 105 days-on / 35 days-off (2)
(1) Qualified US Candidates will be paid day rate of $725 (USD)/day; pay range for non-US candidates who are selected for a support role may range between $400-$600 USD/day, depending upon the assigned role
(2) Pay Rates apply while on rotation in-country only; time-off rotation is unpaid
Employer is seeking Protective Security Specialists (PSS/Interpreter) who are bi-lingual in English and French for full-time contract work in Bangui, Central African Republic. The PSS/Interpreter will perform protective services as part of Protective Services Detail but will also serve as a translator (English-French). Interpreters must have fluent/native proficiency in both English and French and have at least 1 year of combat experience.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Provides protective security to the principal and maintains assigned protective formation position during principal’s movements
– Provides French interpretation/translation as required
– Participates in advance security preparations
– Mans the security post at the principal’s residence or other static post as required
– Drive the lead vehicle, principal’s vehicle, follow-vehicle, and/or acting as response agent whenever required in motorcade or similar operations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (do NOT apply if you do not meet ALL of the following requirements):
– Must possess at least one (1) year of combat experience or high threat protective security experience
– Candidate MUST possess a minimum of three (3) years of armed security experience:
1) A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must be from military, or private military experience and
2) A minimum of one (1) year of this experience must be from performing protective security assignments in a high threat environment (i.e. Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, etc.)
– Must be bi-lingual in English and French – be able to test to a Level 3 standard in French in all categories (speaking, listening, reading, writing)
– Applicant pool for PSS team must be US Citizens; non-US citizens are welcome to apply for other support positions within the application form
– Must be vaccinated or receive all required vaccinations to travel to and from Central African Republic
– Complete the Physical Readiness Test at the 65% performance level, and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order
– Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– US Citizens are preferred, but applicant pool is open to other nationalities for other support roles
– Former 18-series from 3rd Special Forces Group are preferred
– Candidates who have prior experience operating in Central African Republic or surrounding countries
