PAY: $133,000/year(1) + Bonuses(2) + Full Benefits Package(3)

Employment Type: F/T Employee (W-2)
Schedule: Hybrid (in-office ~3 days per week)*
Travel: 60-75% of the year**

(1) Annual increase in base salary every April

* Hybrid schedule typically in-office Tues-Thurs on no-travel weeks; greater flexibility on travel weeks
** Travel is mostly domestic with ~1–2 international trips per year. Domestic travel is in support of principal movements and high-profile engagements; agents typically rotate primary travel coverage with a counterpart based in Chicago, IL. Both agents may be deployed together for events or higher-tempo travel.

A U.S. corporation is direct-hiring an experienced Executive Protection Agent with an assignment location based out of Dallas, TX. The agent will provide direct, low-profile protection of a designated executive across daily movements, domestic and (occasional) international travel, and high-profile engagements. The agent will operate as part of a small, dedicated protective detail and is accountable for advance planning, real-time decision-making, and seamless execution of protective operations in dynamic environments.

The Dallas-based agent supports a high-tempo travel posture, working in tandem with a counterpart based in Chicago, IL. The two agents typically rotate primary coverage of principal movements; both may be deployed together for events, higher-risk travel, or surges. Candidates should be comfortable operating away from a fixed corporate office and should expect to spend the majority of working time in the field — at the assigned duty station, in transit with the principal, or supporting advance and event coverage.

This is an unarmed protective role. The principal’s program prioritizes low-profile bearing, advance work, and operational discretion over visible armed presence. Candidates should be prepared to operate in business attire, integrate cleanly into executive environments, and lead with judgment and tradecraft rather than overt posture.

This is a long-term, direct hire position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Provide direct, unarmed close protection of the principal across residential, workplace, mobile, and travel-based environments
– Conduct, plan, and own advance work
– Maintain continuous situational awareness and proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the principal in real time
– Make immediate, independent operational decisions to ensure principal safety and mobility, including adjusting routes, movements, and protective posture as conditions require
– Execute seamless mobility without disrupting the principal’s business or public profile
– Coordinate and manage transportation, logistics, and movement execution, including vehicles, drivers, and third-party resources
– Support and execute protective operations for family members and associated principals as directed, maintaining the same standards of discretion and performance
– Match the principal’s style and pace while maintaining protective effectiveness
– Render emergency medical care if required
– Integrate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners when required to ensure coordinated, frictionless operations
– Maintain continuous communication with the operational lead, ensuring visibility into plans, movements, and emerging risks
– Document operational activity, incidents, and observations, and contribute to after-action reviews and continuous improvement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (do not apply without meeting all minimum qualification requirements):

– 10+ years of protective security experience in active, field-based roles with direct responsibility for safety and security operations (experience must be derived from military, law enforcement, federal protective services, or equivalent private-sector roles — no credit given for administrative, support, or non-operational assignments)
– Demonstrated executive protection experience in a corporate (in-house or contract-supporting-corporate) environment, including close protection, advance work, and movement operations
– Must have at least some prior U.S. military background
– Current CPR / AED / First Aid certification
– Established working relationships with DFW-area law enforcement and corporate security counterparts
– Completion of a formal Executive Protection training program and/or recognized industry EP certifications
– Professional bearing and presentation appropriate for boardroom and high-visibility public environments
– Strong judgment, professionalism, and discretion in dynamic and sensitive situations
– Valid U.S. Passport with current availability for both domestic and (minimal) international travel
– Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 60–75%) and provide 24/7 availability as required by the role
– Professional bearing and presentation appropriate for C-suite, boardroom, and high-visibility public environments
– Physically fit (military or military contracting standards) with clean, professional appearance
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
– Clean criminal background, current driver’s license, and clean driving record

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to meeting all required qualifications, meeting any of the below will increase your overall competitiveness in the selection process):

– Prior U.S. military SOF backgrounds; U.S. Air Force backgrounds from AFSOC pipelines such as CCT, PJ, TACP, and SR are particularly valued
– Completed a recognized protective driving or advanced vehicle dynamics program
– Experience supporting principals with significant public profile or media exposure
– Familiarity with executive aviation logistics, FBO transitions, and corporate transportation coordination
– Professional certifications such as EP, CPP, PSP, or equivalent credentials
– Candidates who already reside within close proximity to Chicago, IL
