JOB LOCATION: Russia (various locations)
START DATE: IMMEDIATE
PAY: $700 / day + expenses
Employment Type: Contractor (1099)
Employer is a US-based media company seeking former military combat cameramen (COMCAM) to support media coverage operations in Russia. Preferred candidates have a prior US military background as a combat cameraman but candidates from other nationalities will also be considered. Candidates applying for this role will be required to submit original samples of their work in the application process.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Conceptualize, acquire and produce still imagery products using digital cameras and accessories (e.g., lenses, flashes, night vision devices).
– Acquire still imagery and video and select and edit images for layout and writing while tailoring products for different audiences
– Conduct photographic finishing, visual and electronic quality control as well as transmitting and archiving
– Perform maintenance on various media equipment
– Perform ad hoc duties designated the US media production team
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (do NOT apply without meeting these minimum qualification requirements):
– Must have experience as a forward-deployed combat cameraman attached to a military unit in direct combat
– US candidates must have prior military experience in a combat cameraman MOS (i.e. 4612, 25V, etc.); Non-US candidates should have a comparable military background
– Operate motion, still and studio television cameras
– Have experience with publishing content on websites and social media
– Candidate must be very physically fit and able to carry at least 50lbs while wearing body armor
– Possess a current Passport with at least 2 blank pages
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– Ability to speak both English and Russian
– Possess prior experience with media operations in Russia (can be military or civilian experience or a combination)
– Experience working with private media companies
