JOB LOCATION: California (Beale AFB)
START DATE: Immediate
PAY: $100,000 – $135,000(1) + Benefits(2)
Employment Type: F/T Employee (W-2)
(1) Pay rate is determined by Candidate’s level of experience

Employer is seeking a Network Systems Administrator for Full-Time contract employment at Beale AFB (California). Contract term is 6 months with the potential to convert to F/T Employee (W-2) status after completing the initial contract term. Candidate must be willing to relocate (relocation assistance will be offered to very strong candidates).
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Perform on-site network systems support duties and be willing and able to respond to incidents 24/7
– Monitor anomalous activity, create and review reports, and support anomaly resolution
– Apply security and vulnerability patches
– Build and configure network systems
– Accomplish standard system administrative tasks
– Support efforts for network system enhancements, replacement of obsolete equipment, incident response, configuration management, and development/maintenance of documentation and diagrams
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (do not apply if you do not meet ALL of the following):
– Candidate MUST possess an active DoD TS/SCI clearance
– Candidate must possess active CompTIA Security+ certification or higher (or have the ability to quickly obtain certification)
– Must be a US Citizen
– Be able to pass a background check for entry into a Special Access Program (SAP)
– Possess experience with Windows 10, Server 2012, 2016, and RHEL 6 & 7
– Have experience with virtualization (VMWare, ESXi, VSphere, VCenter)
– Possess a minimum of 4 years of systems experience with Linux/Unix/Solaris
– Have previous hands-on console experience integrating software and executing procedures
– Prior experience conducting system, subsystem and component level tests
– Have experience debugging Shell scripts
– Must be able to help analyze system problems and communicate issues to software and systems engineers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– Experience with automation (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, powerCLI, PowerShell)
– Software programming experience
– Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Assurance, Information Systems or equivalent
– Possess at least 4 years of relevant SysAdmin work experience
– Experience in supporting production systems (i.e. backups, monitoring system health, monitoring system alerts, OpenNMS/SNMP)
– Possess experience with command line administration (BASH, PowerShell, SSH)
– Be comfortable with scripting and automation (Shell, Python, Perl, VBScript)
