Employer is seeking an Executive Security Services Manager for full-time employment in Connecticut. This position is responsible for providing direction to global management personnel in the protection of its Executives. This is a single incumbent position that serves as the most senior contributor in executive security service matters with accountability for security and executive protection operations and reports directly to the Director of Global Security. Only highly-qualified and seasoned professionals with previously demonstrated experience in all of the duties and responsibilities detailed below will be considered.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

OVERVIEW OF DUTIES: 

– Coordinate the execution of executive protection processes, resources and maintain management oversight
– Develop, organize and implement comprehensive security plans for the Client’s executive level meetings
– Strategically develop security techniques and manage key employee and security services for the enterprise while providing expertise in the area of executive protection
– Manage cross-functional teams comprised of members from other areas in order to design, develop and deliver executive security and protection recommendations integrating with the businesses of the enterprise
– Manage/conduct key employee and executive event security operations which have or could affect the client based upon known risks, the brand and/or people, property, plant, product and proprietary information
– Prepare technical operation plans based on the expert interpretation of analyzed threat analysis data
– Direct, plan, and carry out the most sensitive and complex operations and projects
– Brief senior and executive management on the status of key employee and executive events
– Identify, secure the services of, and manage contractors to conduct executive security services
– This position requires a moderate amount of travel (up to 40% of work time)

MOVEMENT SECURITY DUTIES:

– Develop, implement, and continuously assess global transportation for all Executives, inclusive of tracked and secure ground transportation
– Work with Aviation Services to ensure secure air travel inclusive of security oversight for the client’s Hangar, risk mitigated aircraft security (before, during, and post travel) and security briefings for plane crew
– Develop, implement, and continuously assess process capability for the ASO Program requiring trained air marshals on select aviation routes taken by the corporate aircraft, in accordance with United States Federal Aviation Authority
– Assist Executives with regards to situational awareness training and personal safety responses; at times, this may include training for any party traveling with their executives

EVENT SECURITY DUTIES:

– Participate in and/or handle extremely sensitive or high-profile events that may have political or social ramifications within the public domain
– Coordinate with high-level government officials to understand current threats to these events, and manage law enforcement, contract and proprietary resources to provide comprehensive protective measures commensurate with identified threats to personnel, processes and intellectual property at the events
– Raise awareness within the company and with external partners about the issues of key employees and executive security services, such as risks to intellectual property at events, and defining the means of limiting exposure and related liability due to key employee travel or events
– Supply risk-mitigated security and/or liaison with security details for high profile visitors to the CEO (CEO’s guests) and security for high profile keynote speakers

RESIDENTIAL SECURITY DUTIES: 

– Responsible for the management of residential security for select members of the client’s executives to an industry standard defined as Tier 1 Residence Security inclusive of expertise in home alarm systems, monitoring, and response.
– May occasionally require 24/7 active camera monitoring of select residences and ensuring privacy considerations are in place and security measures are fully functional
– Accountable for continued risk assessment to determine current and new residential security needs based upon advised changes in the threat landscape

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

– Provide support to the Director of Security in the development and management of the capital and expense budget for the key employee and security operations forecasting resource needs
– Maintain working relationship with Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer for alignment to business travel requirements, oversight of executive office security charges, key employee security services billing, and documentation related to security executive compensation and any applicable imputed income requirements
– Work closely with the staff of the client’s Executive Office, Legal Services Division, other enterprise security related groups, and other process partners and business units in every region with a client’s capabilities
– Manage cross-divisional projects and exhibit a high degree of influence to gain support
– Identify opportunities, assess risks, define and financially justify projects
– Manage the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree to which the goals, objectives, and metrics are being met
– Monitor external developments including but not limited to best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance the overall executive protection program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (do not apply if you do not meet ALL of the following):

MUST have prior international Executive Protection experience as a field agent and detail leader in the government, private corporate or other high profile public sector
– MUST have prior professional experience with corporate executives and/or high-wealth clients
– Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher or a minimum of 15 years of experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public service, or private sector security organization
– Must possess a current US Passport and Driver’s License
– Must possess an operational knowledge and maintain oversight for the completion of technical surveillance countermeasure exams as aligned with applicable laws of the venue for executive offices, officer offices, executive meetings/events and client’s aircraft on return from select locations globally
– Must have demonstrated experienced in highly dynamic environments with autonomy to act and execute decisions
– Have experience in a leadership role (i.e. detail lead) and relevant project management work experience with a demonstrated record to lead and execute security compliance and risk mitigation programs
– Have the ability to interact with and influence senior management
– Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Must have a strong, proven track record of responding quickly and effectively to a situation
– Must possess a strong ability to form relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

– Have prior experience coordinating security and logistics for private aircraft transportation of principals
– While not required at the time of application, Candidates who possess an active SECRET security clearance (clearance issuing authority can be from DoD, DoS, DoJ, OGA, or any other major US Government clearance issuing authority) are preferred
