JOB LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV
START DATE: Immediate
PAY: $67,204(1)/ Yr + O/T Opportunities + Benefits Plan(2)
(1) Base pay rate is $32.31/hr; Work schedule is based upon a M-F, 40-hour work week. Some weekend O/T opportunities are available.
(2) Benefits include Medical, Dental, Basic Life Insurance / AD&D, 401(k), and a bi-weekly flexible benefits-in-kind credit of $334.40 to go towards various Employer benefit plans.
Employer is seeking Electronic Technicians with active DoD TOP SECRET clearances to perform general technical duties specializing in electronic security systems on a US Government facility in Las Vegas, NV.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Work on various types of electronic equipment and related devices by performing the following functions: installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, constructing, testing, and maintaining service records
– Assist with the planning, installation, relocation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the following electronic systems:
* Intrusion detection systems (e.g. Advantor)
* Sensor systems
* Electronic access systems
* CCTV cameras
* Electronic charging systems
* Computers (to include basic abilities with LAN and network systems)
* X-ray scanners (e.g. Voti, AS&E)
* Video management systems (e.g. Chameleon)
* Shot detection systems (e.g. Boomerang)
* Ground-based radar
* Long range thermal detection systems (e.g. FLIR)
* Metal detectors
* Operations Center Integration systems (e.g. Jupiter)
– Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make needed repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition including trouble shooting to the component level
– Apply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment
– Perform installation, setup, and verification of major subsystems and maintain associated equipment to include masts, mobile platforms, generators and cables
– Work in tandem with the Client and consult with users and suppliers to determine hardware, software, and functional specifications of systems and equipment in order to design, develop, document, and analyze systems and programs for operational environments through testing and evaluation modifications
– Become proficient on system configurations and operational software
– Comply with AFI 31-117, Arming and Use of Force by Air Force Personnel, 17 Mar 2015
– Clearly and effectively communicate company practices with executives, clients, and employees
– Occasionally travel to remote working locations and in field environments
– May work with grease, oil, fuel, coolants, and other fluids
– Work on multiple projects simultaneously
PHYSICAL DUTIES / REQUIREMENTS:
– Must be able to repeatedly lift up to fifty (50) pounds, and carry heavy objects routinely
– Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, towers, and hills
– Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
– Candidate MUST be a US Citizen
– Must have valid US-issued driver’s license
– MUST have an active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance
– Must have at least five (5) years of hands-on experience in performing essential functions of this type of job
– Must have an Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or technical school with courses in math, basic electronics, or military equivalent technical training
– Must have comprehensive knowledge in general electronics and demonstrated expertise in electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems, as well as test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment
– Must be able to pass a detailed medical evaluation
– Must be fluent the English language (reading, writing, speaking and comprehension)
– Must have an Honorable Discharge characterization on your DD-214
– Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation at a frequency as required by contract
