JOB LOCATION: San Francisco, CA
START DATE: IMMEDIATE FILL
PAY: $480 – $540 / day(1) + Benefits(2)
Employment Type: Full-Time Employee (W-2)
Rotation: Will work a rotating schedule of 3 to 4 days per week with a minimum of 13 days per month (day or night)
Schedule: 12 hours per day during on duty rotation
(1) Daily rate determined on candidate’s experience; O/T opportunities may also be available. Holiday pay is double the hourly rate and includes New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
(2) Employer will provide medical, vision, life insurance, retirement bonus, and a 401(k). No relocation assistance will be provided by the employer.
Employer is seeking several Security Drivers (male and female) for long-term, Full-Time Employment to augment an existing large-scale security detail within San Francisco, California. Occasional domestic and international travel will be required as well. Applicants must meet all requirements listed under the Minimum Qualifications section of this job post in order to be considered for this role. Please note that relocation assistance will NOT be offered for this job by the employer; therefore, qualified candidates who reside in or near San Francisco are preferred.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Provide safe, comfortable, and efficient transportation and protective services for the client
– Perform executive protection and emergency response functions as necessary to ensure the protection of the client
– Perform effective route planning and maintain effective situational awareness
– Maintain a high level of physical fitness and professionalism at all times
– Comply with all local, state, and federal laws while providing driving and protection services
– Conduct vehicle checks to include service, wash, and fuel
– Liaise with local authorities when applicable emergency situations arise
– Practice OPSEC and COMSEC with sensitive and confidential material
– Participate in recurring protective operations training to include medical, firearms, and other related training
– Flex and adapt as needed based on client needs
– Identify and respond to emergency situations
– Demonstrate proficiency in use and proper maintenance of all equipment used in support of the Protective Operations Program (i.e. vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
– Possess a current BSIS Guard Card issued by the state of California (employer may sponsor this for very strong candidates)
– Must pass an extensive background check and an in-house training assessment
– Possess extensive professional experience as a security driver for VIPs/executives/dignitaries, etc.
– Must have 10+ years combined experience from either military and/or law enforcement and have experience in protective operations
– Must have a valid US driver’s license and clean DMV driving record
– Possess a current US Passport
– Have strong working knowledge of technology-based protective security applications
– Physically fit (candidate must pass a physical fitness test) and maintain a clean and sharp appearance
– Pass pre-employment drug screening and periodic, random drug screenings throughout employment
– Must be able to brief, persuade, and instruct others on security requirements and policies
– Proactive and possess a high-degree of professionalism, responsibility and maturity
– Excellent communicator with the ability to professionally and successfully converse with clients, superiors, peers, and others
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– Candidates with prior backgrounds in a SOF or combat arms MOS are highly desired
– Candidates with prior law enforcement backgrounds are highly desired
– Prior attendance of a recognized Executive Protection Course (i.e. ESI, EPI, Oatman, PFC, ITG4, TFTT)
– Attended an industry-recognized vehicle dynamics or security driving course (i.e. Summit Point BSR, Tony Scotti, ESI, EPI, O’Gara, Blackwater, etc.)
– CPR/AED Certified
