START DATE: Immediate
PAY: $100,000 – $135,000+(1) + Benefits(2)
Employment Type: F/T Employee (W-2)
(1) Pay rate is determined by Candidate’s level of experience

Employer is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator for Full-Time contract employment at Goodfellow AFB (Texas). The Senior Systems Administrator will provide network, mission and maintenance support for the USAF and US Government Agency operators for the DCGS (AN/GSQ-272 SENTINEL) weapons system. Contract term is 6 months with the potential to convert to F/T Employee (W-2) status after completing the initial contract term. Candidate must be willing to relocate (relocation assistance to be provided for very strong candidates).
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Monitor and control LINUX and Windows computers that host classified intelligence data and software applications
– Perform on-site network systems support duties and be willing and able to respond to incidents 24/7
– Conduct installation of hardware/networks along with associated verification testing
– Identify and develop solutions to problems discovered through installation and checkout, mission/post mission support troubleshooting, or system analysis
– Debug hardware and software systems problems and communicate corrective actions to various locations and site personnel
– Analyze system performance and make recommendations on system improvements
– Install and check out system upgrades
– This position does a shift rotation and includes overtime, weekend work, nightshift, non-standard work week and extended shifts
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (do not apply if you do not meet ALL of the following):
– Candidate MUST possess an active DoD TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
– Candidate must possess active CompTIA Security+ certification or higher (or have the ability to quickly obtain certification)
– Must be a US Citizen
– Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher plus at least 4 years of relevant experience (or at least 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
– Possess experience supporting Windows, RHEL, and Solaris/Linux/Unix environments
– Experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS, Samba, and NHS
– Must be willing to work 10-hour shifts (4 days on, 3 days off) sometimes including nights and weekends
– Familiar with DNS and Windows system security
– Have experience with virtualization (VMWare, ESXi, VCenter)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– Experience with automation (PowerShell)
– Familiar with Cisco Enterprise network solutions
– Knowledge of RF intelligence gathering, analysis and dissemination
– Experience with C/C++ programming languages
– Have prior experience with DCGS and/or the US Military
