PAY: $3,364 / Week
(1) + Benefits(2)

CONTRACT TERM: 1 year
ROTATION: 105 days-on / 35 days-off (3)


(1) Contractors will be paid a daily rate of $500 / Day (6 days per week) + Per Diem at $364 / week (total monetary compensation equates to $3,364 / week)
(2) Benefits include Medical, Dental, Basic Life Insurance / AD&D, 401(k) and other voluntary benefit options

Pay Rates apply while on rotation in-country only; time-off rotation is unpaid


Employer is seeking Protective Security Specialists (PSS) with Defensive Marksman (Sniper) training and experience for full-time contract work in Iraq.  Please read the minimum qualifications sections thoroughly before applying.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

– Provide designated defensive marksman services as assigned
– Perform day-to-day personal protective security (PSS/PSD) functions
– Drive the lead vehicle, principal’s vehicle, follow-vehicle, and/or acting as response agent whenever required in motorcade or similar operations
– Maintain assigned protective formation position during principal’s walking movements
– Participate in advance security preparations
– Man the security post at the principal’s residence or mans the command post, or other static post as required
– Serve as a member of an ERT or QRF as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (do NOT apply if you do not meet ALL of the following requirements):

1. Experience & Training Requirements:

– Candidate MUST have attended and successfully completed a sniper/DDM/sharpshooter program issued by a military, law enforcement, or security (government or commercial) training program. This sniper/DDM/sharpshooter program must be of suitable complexity and quality to adequately prepare the graduate for successful performance as a DDM. Examples of programs that meet this requirement include, but are not limited to (training must be reflected in your DD-214 or you must furnish a course completion certificate):

1) U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Scout/Sniper
2) U.S. Army Sniper School
3) U.S. Special Forces Sniper School (formerly SOTIC)
4) Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Hostage Rescue Team (HRT)/Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT)
5) Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Mobile Security Division (MSD) DDM Course
6) National Tactical Officer’s Association (NTOA) recognized law enforcement sniper course

– Candidate MUST possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience employed as a DDM/sniper/sharpshooter and a minimum of three (3) years of applicable work experience gained in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed high threat protective services that require skills similar to those identified in the PSS training course
– Candidates claiming military experience must have either a sniper Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) or Additional Skill Identifier (ASI). If claiming law enforcement experience for this requirement, must be full time, not as a collateral duty.
– Candidate must achieve a minimum M4 qualification score of 95% (i.e. 285 out of 300) or better on the DS qualification course of fire. The candidate shall maintain this qualification level with the M4 throughout assignment on this contract.

2. Other Mandatory Requirements:

– Must be a U.S. Citizen
– Must have a valid US passport
– Must have a valid US issued driver’s license
– MUST have an honorable discharge characterization on your DD-214
– Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation and be able to obtain and maintain a DoS SECRET clearance
– Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening; position is also subject to random drug screening throughout the course of employment
– Must be able to qualify and maintain weapons qualification as outlined in the contract with the Glock-19, M4, M203, M240, M249, Remington 870 shotgun, M24, and SR25
– Must be able to pass a physical fitness test and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order
– Must be able to successfully complete the PSS training requirements
– Must be able to pass a medical physical approving you for overseas work
– Must be able to travel to and/or work in an austere, hostile or remote location
– Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking and comprehension)

OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

– Preferred Candidates have Basic or Advanced Certification as a Security Guard
