JOB LOCATION: Iraq
START DATE: Immediate
PAY: $4,318 / Week
(1) + Benefits(2)

CONTRACT TERM: 1 year
ROTATION: 105 days-on / 35 days-off (3)


(1) Contractors will be paid a daily rate of $659 / Day (6 days per week) + Per Diem at $364 / week (total monetary compensation equates to $4,318 / week)
(2) Benefits include Medical, Dental, Basic Life Insurance / AD&D, 401(k) and other voluntary benefit options
(3) 
Pay Rates apply while on rotation in-country only; time-off rotation is unpaid


Employer is seeking a Protective Security Specialist (PSS) with current NR Paramedic certifications to provide advanced emergency medical care to Contractor personnel in Iraq. Please read the minimum qualifications sections thoroughly before applying.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

– Provide advanced emergency medical care to Contractor personnel
– Perform day-to-day personal protective security functions
– Drive the lead vehicle, principal’s vehicle, follow-vehicle, and/or acting as response agent whenever required in motorcade or similar operations
– Maintain assigned protective formation position during principal’s walking movements
– Participate in advance security preparations
– Man the security post at the principal’s residence or mans the command post, or other static post as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (do NOT apply if you do not meet ALL of the following requirements):

1. Experience & Certifications Requirements:

– Candidate MUST possess the following approved certifications (copies of current certifications must be furnished):

1) National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification as a Paramedic (NREMT-P); Registration must be valid prior to deployment, and remain valid throughout the period of deployment
2) CPR professional rescuer
3) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
4) Advanced trauma training credentials (i.e., Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent)

– Candidate must have experience/knowledge in current Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) guidelines
– Candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of emergency medical services experience and a minimum of three (3) years applicable work experience gained in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed high threat protective services that require skills similar to those identified in the PSS training course

2. Other Mandatory Requirements:

– Must be a U.S. Citizen
– Must have a valid US passport
– Must have a valid US issued driver’s license
– MUST have an honorable discharge characterization on their DD-214
– Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation and be able to obtain and maintain a DoS SECRET clearance
– Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening; position is also subject to random drug screening throughout the course of employment
– Must be able to qualify and maintain weapons qualification as outlined in the contract with the Glock-19, M4, M203, M240, M249, and Remington 870 shotgun
– Must be able to successfully complete the PSS training requirements
– Must be able to pass a physical fitness test and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order
– Must be able to pass a medical physical approving you for overseas work
– Must be able to travel to and/or work in an austere, hostile or remote location
– Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking and comprehension)

OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

– Preferred Candidates have served in the US Military in one of the following MOS/NEC: Army 18D (Special Forces), 68W, Navy Corpsman 8404, USAF 1T2X1 (Pararescue)
